Speakers during our Women of Tomorrow event

Inger Baars

Tax & Legal

My name is Inger Baars and I started working at PwC 15 years ago, at that time, as a student.

Nowadays I am working as a Director in the Tax practice and become a proud member of the PwC Women NL Board.

One of my main drivers is that I would like to work in an environment where male and female values are balanced. It is important to utilize talent! Talent of men, women, people with different cultural backgrounds, nationalities, young and old.

Besides this, I love to connect with and help younger female colleagues and would like to be a role model for them. I want to share my experiences and empower and guide other women.

One of our biggest freedoms is how we respond to things. So "Be yourself at work" for me means to do things with passion and stay true to yourself! If you want things to change, start with yourself and be your authentic self.

jasmijn van dieren

Assurance

My name is Jasmijn van Dieren, and I started working at PwC in 2006 as a
project coordinator without any financial educational background.

After 6

months, I switched to audit and had to complete the auditing educational
programme from scratch.

Currently, I’m a director in our financial services audit
practice. Next to that, I’m part the management team of our outsourcing
business unit and am part of the board of our PwC WomenNL diversity network.

The theme ‘Be yourself at work’ very much speaks to me, given that I’ve
experienced that actually being yourself at work makes things so much easier!

I’m familiar with the topic and am looking forward to sharing how I am dealing
with this topic within PwC.

Gulbahar tezel

Advisory/Strategy&

I joined PwC after having worked in the academia (Erasmus University) and the government (the ACM). I enjoy the steep learning curve and the dynamics at Strategy& (S&). It is a great joy and privilege to work with a very talented, ambitious and caring team. I also teach applied economics at the Tilburg University.

Working at S& means continuous learning. Every project poses a new analytical challenge and provides a new opportunity to understand a new sector, a new client. Learning opportunities are not confined to the content. On the contrary, at S& we work continuously on our presentation skills, communication skills, networking skills, team building skill and leadership skills.

I am very proud of the work that my team and I carry out on climate and environmental issues. We have advised the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate on the Dutch carbon tax and the future of the hydrogen infrastructure. We also published a though leadership document proposing a solution to the Nitrogen problem in the Netherlands.
